OHGOD WHY ARE THERE PUPPIES EVERYWHERE WHO PUT PUPPIES IN THE CLOSET

Twenty-four puppies, to be exact — a nice big mess of Poochyena, Houndour, and Growlithe puppies, all of whom come swarming out at the first crack of light shining through the doorway. One furry stampede later, Albert is left standing aghast with his hand still on the doorknob and the coat still over his arm, staring incredulously into the closet (where there seems to be a hastily-dragged and lumpily-piled blanket shoved into a corner, and a whole lot of eggshells scattered around) and blinking like he's not entirely sure he believes he just saw what he did.

Were those just puppies.

In the closet.

Why were there puppies in the — actually, you know what, does he really want to know? Probably not.]

Gandhina!

[And sure enough, a minute later, a muddy-pawed Gandhina trots obediently into view, tail wagging and a comatose, weather-beaten, mostly-dead Paras held securely in her jaws. Clearly currently rocking the most happy puppy mood to ever exist, she sets it down on the carpet and sits proudly, still trying to wag her tail despite it being trapped beneath her.]

Dammit, Gandhina, what are you doing with Thi— that's...not Thing. Where did you find ano...ther...

[BUT BEFORE FURTHER COMMENT CAN BE HAD, in skitters the real Thing (as evidenced by the fact that he's still de-mushroomed and wrapped securely in clean white bandages) — who proceeds to DASH OVER TO THE OTHER PARAS like a crab possessed, and what ensues can only be described as, well, the Paras equivalent of cuddling.

Yeah.

If any of you need Albert, network, he'll just be standing here contemplating what the hell his life has become, thanks.]

[See, he was just sitting there, minding his own business and letting his team out to play, and then, from the door, came an AVALANCHE OF PUPPIES. They knocked him right off the steps.

Puppies.

SO MANY PUPPIES.]

[You know, Reid was just minding his own business, snatching Penelope up and taking her newest acquisition (a fork) away from her, when suddenly PUPPIES. RUNNING EVERYWHERE.

And there is a little Poochyena puppy that is looking very unhappy and standing up on his little hind legs so he can scratch at Reid's leg.]

[SO MANY PUPPIES also that Poochyena is pretty cute] I, uh, I think Gandhina and Sheriff might have, uh... [Oh look Growlithes too now how many of those hang around here]

Over comes Gandhina to say hello. LOOK WHAT SHE DID. Isn't that great?]

Reid yanks the fork away from the pouting Happiny, kneeling down on the ground and putting her on the floor. The puppy pooch immediately gets to alternating between licking the Happiny and licking Reid's hands. Had this been a couple months ago, Reid would be recoiling so fast his head would spin.]

Gandhina, I didn't know you could lay so many eggs.

[Holy shit puppies everywhere what even is this. And Albert bellowing.

Then again the latter means it's Tuesday, basically.

Gandhina tracking mud as she trots proudly by with an unconscious bug in her mouth in response to Albert yelling for her just adds another layer of weird to the whole mess.

Oi vey. She reaches down into the puppy stampede and wrangles one of the gray-furred ones before giving it up as a lost cause and just...going to see what the hell is going on.]

The house is getting rather full, don't you think?

[Ziva, he's on his way to perform emergency bug surgery right now, so if you want to continue this conversation, you're going to have to follow him as he makes for the lab.]

I opened the closet door and puppies came out. What the hell is this, a poochy piñata?

Sidestepping a puppy from behind her ninja skills are still intact yes as she...follows, because really what better thing does she have to do?]

[Astrid is just coming back from training, with Flamefur the growlithe bounding around behind her, still full of energy after a whole day of hunting wild pokemon. When she opens the door, she has a split second of seeing so many puppies before Flamefur is off like a shot, tearing into the house to sniff and wrestle and play with every puppy that wants to because OMG puppes!]

[Astrid just looks a bit bewildered by the sea of small dogs, talking to no one in particular.]

So. Egg hatching day then?

[At least she's getting used to this. And she's suddenly rather glad she got a collar for Flamefur because it would probably be pretty easy to lose him in a sea of other dogs...]
