[LITTLE KID IN DANGER > POSSIBLE DEATH AND/OR MAULING AT THE NONEXISTENT HANDS OF THREE-HEADED DRAGON. Priorities, man.
And out he comes, spotting Hiccup almost at once, because — shit, is that the dragon? It only has one head. Is the kid delirious or does he have a concussion or — wait, he said he put it back, didn't he?
...How many dragons does any one kid need, jesus.]
Is that thing one of the biting ones or is it going to behave itself?
[Harry doesn't put two and two together as quickly as usual, which is why he sounds genuinely curious when he answers the call. Maybe Albert needs something!]
The talking thing is as surprising to you as it was to me. I've tried teaching her some other words, but nothing'll take.
[The sigh that follows is barely audible and not entirely genuine, but Harry's got a feeling Albert's not half as amused by this as he is. It's probably best not to let that leak through.]
[If Albert thinks there's an undertone of "BECAUSE I CONSIDER THAT AN INEFFECTIVE TRAINING METHOD AND I'M JUDGING YOU A LITTLE BIT" there, he's not imagining things.]
[How about "shut up, behavior modification is not only a perfectly valid and scientifically proven method of getting results but also it's a lot better than your touchy-feely Dr. Spock super-parent mumbo-jumbo".]
[He's kind of clutching his arm to his chest, so as to keep the covering fur vest bundled together easier. At that, though, the Salamence rumbles softly, craning her neck down to nuzzle Hiccup's shoulder before lumbering off. She figures Albert will be grumpy, and her presence probably wouldn't help that any. Besides, this way Hiccup will actually move towards Albert instead of sticking to her scales like glue. Which he does, if a bit hesitantly.
He needs to stop with this whole 'needing a doctor' thing.]
[Okay, good. Retreating dragon is better than still-present and looming dragon, which is in turn better still than probably-going-to-maul-somebody dragon. Albert approaches quickly but carefully and prepares himself to steady Hiccup in Adder's place if necessary.]
I'll take your word for it. Let's get you fixed up first, huh?
[Meanwhile, he's scoping out that makeshift bandage.]
Look on the bright side. A couple of bites are a lot easier to handle than poison.
[Hiccup nods, grinning sheepishly at the statement, though his mouth twitches at the edges. Dumb arm pain.] That's something. [As if he didn't already feel guilty enough about using Albert's medical knowledge.
After a second, the viking peels back the vest, though the fur tries to stick, thanks to the still-wet blood. His arm's pretty red, but the bleeding has slowed a relatively good amount, and the wounds have clear edges instead of jagged, torn ones. There sure are a lot of 'em, though, and Hiccup turns a shade paler at the sight. Miserable Berk life or not, he wasn't as used to blood as he would have previously claimed.]
Okay, the good news is it's probably not as bad as it looks. Yeah, there's a lot of blood, but you did good getting pressure on it and once we clean it up it won't look nearly as messy. If you're lucky you won't even need stitches.
[He gets an arm around Hiccup, mostly to steady him.]
C'mon, into the lab. The sooner we get that disinfected and bandaged, the better you'll feel.
[He's not really all too sure which part specifically he's agreeing with, but he'll wrap the arm right back up and wander over to the lab with Albert. He's all for that feeling better stuff, and avoiding stitches sounds pretty cool, too, even if that's not a guarantee. After taking a deep breath, Hiccup glances over with a mumble.]
Sorry I keep doing stupid things.
[It's a familiar apology, for him, though the exact phrasing isn't always the same.]
[It went so fast, Hiccup's half-wondering if that was meant to be a quick slap upside the head.
Despite not understanding the reference--which he's baffled by not only because of lack of knowledge, but because Albert just said 'Boo-Boo', and that seemed absurd--the comment makes him feel a little better. Gobber would have just agreed with him and left it at that. Stoick would have lectured him, probably. Hiccup had expected both of those, really, but he can live without those options. Somehow, his heart will go on. Just as is arm will heal, so will he.]
Well, at least there's something there that lets you put up with me.
[And look, his tone is starting to go back to its familiar wry self instead of the weaker, stunned one. HE'S ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY ALREADY.]
Pokémon that naturally learn Teleport: Abra and its evolutions, Natu and Xatu, Ralts and its evolutions, Claydol. Looks like it can be taught by TM, too. Clara could learn it, if she ever evolves.
